SAFER than alcohol!

What does 'Enjoying Heineken Responsibly' really mean?

We think it is important to inform and educate our consumers about all aspects of our products and brands. This website is full of practical information about enjoying Heineken responsibly. We hope you’ll find our advice, answers and guidelines useful. But before you read on, remember:

alcohol is only for adults over the legal drinking age
limit yourself to one, maximum two drinks a day if you’re a woman and two to three drinks a day if you’re a man
never drink before or when driving or when operating machinery
never drink if you’re pregnant
never mix alcohol with medicine

Putting a couple of-age drinking men together, with some clubs sticks and weapons would be fine by the producers of Heineken

SAFER CIA - A Positive Force in South African Society

Safer Cannabis Information Association has been established to co-ordinate and direct activities which counter and reduce Cannabis abuse.

The members believe that a healthy cannabis industry is dependant on a healthy society.

Cannabis, used responsibly, can make a positive contribution to the quality of life of those who choose to use it. Cannabis can harm those who abuse it, and can result in undesirable consequences for society.

Everything consumed or used by humans can be abused. People die from the compulsive consumption of large quantities of alcohol or water, breathing too much oxygen or from driving cars too fast.

The appropriate and safe use of any substance depends on the user's quality of consciousness and ability to make responsible decisions. This in turn is dependant on a host of factors including the availability of information and the prevailing norms of society.

The CIA has little direct influence over individuals who are emotionally disturbed or prone to antisocial behaviour. The SAFER CIA can make a substantial contribution to the development of responsible norms in society, and through sound education programmes can improve the average consumer's decision making skills.

The great majority of people in South Africa who use cannabis do so moderately without damaging consequences. The SAFER CIA aims to ensure that this trend is encouraged.
